I wrote my ex-bf on Facebook is that ok? ?

We haven't spoken in two years and left on bad terms. He's with someone now I think I'm not sure. I just wrote that hope he has a Happy Birthday and that I hope everything in his life is going ok. I don't have feelings for him but I do still care and wonder about him and hope he is ok. I guess I justy wanted closure.
