Does my ex still care?

Me & My ex got in a fight about two months ago.. well we stopped talking for awhile & two nights ago i texted him & said "I know you don't want to talk to me, but will you at least ***** this guy out for me?" & He goes "i'm trying to sleep" i said "My bad go to sleep. Thanks anyways though" & Today he was talking to me while other guys were ... and he goes "Was up baby" i said "Celebrating my birthday , you?" He goes "Chillin happy b day" & i said thanks . He started making fun of some of the guys , and tellin them to back the **** up. Then i asked him how life was and he goes "Great im outty peace" I said "good to hear dueces" and he left.. I like closure. What do you think is going on? He's playing mind games i know, but i'd just love to know the meaning behind it. Any opinions?
